Time Management

There is one thing that we all share every day. Everyone gets the same 24 hours. That breaks down to 288 blocks of 5 minutes. Which if you sleep about 6-8 hours, averaging about 7.5 that comes out to around 200 5 minute blocks a day.

For me some reason breaking up the hours into smaller blocks almost makes it seem like we have more time. But the truth is our time is limited and we tend to take it for granted which can lead to boredom. Just speaking for myself, when boredom has struck me in the past it has lead to a lot of idling, and that is not something I particularly care to continue.

If we aren't progressing then we are regressing, we are not going backwards. We are dying, How could re-framing something 200 times a day potentially change life for us? Well we first have to get honest that there are certain ways we choose to spend our time that are not aligned with what we know to be the deeper work of our lives.

Take 5 minutes after reading this and ask yourself, what is a habit that I am continuously acting out that is extremely stupid if I want a better future?

Follow that 5 minutes with some sort of hard exercise, just enough to get your heart beating faster and your breathe to quicken. Then think about that again. You can change how you think about something by changing your body.

Move it or lose it.
