Discipline
If we don't dominate ourselves, our external body first, how can we expect to dominate anything else outside of us? Universal forces are constantly presenting tests to us in the form of decision making.
Do I allow my thoughts and emotions to dictate how I decide the path of least or most resistant? Or do I understand that I am the witness of myself, observing my thoughts and emotions from a place that can see both the opportunity and obstacle as one?
"Discipline Equals Freedom" written by Jocko Willink details why in the quest of any freedom we desire in life, we need discipline. What does freedom mean to you? To me, it means having the responsibility to continually offer more to the world and the people closest to me.
I know that if I want to offer more to the world, I need to become more. To become more you have to understand the ways you have not been disciplining yourself. If you haven't gotten into the habit of moving your body as a practice every day, then here is the most beneficial way to offer more to the world.
EXERCISE YOUR BODY! It is a gift, don't trash the most beautiful thing that was given to you in this world.
